The aim of the event is to inform teachers about the current trends of Cybercrime related to minors and the new tools developed by the Prosecution Service for the prevention of Cybercrime.
At the same time, board and interactive games will be presented for students aged 8 to 18, using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies.
These interactive games were created in collaboration between the Directorate for the Prosecution of Electronic Crime and the Institutionalized Research Laboratory of Advanced Educational Technologies and Mobile Applications AETMA Lab, of the Democritus University of Thrace.
The cooperation between the two Organizations began in October 2022 and in September 2023 two innovative interactive games applications were delivered to the Directorate for the Prosecution of Electronic Crime, based on cutting-edge technologies that were presented for the first time at the opening of the 87th TIF.
The aim of this educational innovation is the interactive education of students throughout the Greek territory using Mixed Reality technologies (Augmented and Virtual – Augmented & Virtual Reality).
Both games include questions about safe surfing on the internet, on various topics such as online grooming, cyberbullying, scams, the use of social media, etc.
This innovation enables the immediate dissemination of information to all schools in Greece (as it is a free service), through interactive games focused on age groups to raise awareness and educate students in identifying and dealing with online threats. The accessibility of information to people with disabilities is also facilitated.
